Who operates this service

This service is operated by Denise Joy G. Guico, trading as YardMargin, an individual seller based in the Philippines.

Under data protection law, Denise Joy G. Guico is the data controller for the account, business, job, and customer data you enter into the app. Paddle.com Market Ltd is a separate, independent data controller for payment and billing data, as our Merchant of Record.

Our legal basis for using your data

Most of our processing is necessary to perform our contract with you — running the calculations, benchmarks, and coaching notes you signed up for, and keeping your account secure. We also rely on our legitimate interests for basic product analytics and error logging, so we can see what's broken and improve the app. Where the law requires consent (for example, non-essential cookies), we ask for it first.

What we collect

• Your account email and password (the password is stored encrypted).
• Your business details — company name, crew wage rates, overhead, and the service types you work in.
• The job and customer data you enter — customer names, job types, quoted prices, hours, materials, travel, and dump fees.
• Basic technical logs, like errors and sign-in activity, to keep the app working.

Why we collect it

We use it to run the product: calculating your profit, margin, and variance, comparing you to industry benchmarks, spotting profit leaks, and writing the coaching notes you see on job results and weekly summaries. That's it — we don't use your data to build advertising profiles.

Your job and customer data stays yours

Your job and customer data is never shared with other businesses using this app, and it is never sold to anyone. Other accounts cannot see your data. We only access it ourselves when you ask us for support or when we have to, by law.

Payments

Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, billing, invoices, refunds, and sales tax/VAT. Your card details go straight to Paddle — this app never sees or stores your full card number. We only receive the status of your subscription (which plan you're on, and whether it's active, trialling, or cancelled).

Who else touches your data

A small number of service providers help us run the app: our hosting and database provider, and the AI provider that generates the written coaching notes. They process data on our instructions only, and they aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. If you cancel, we keep it for a short period in case you come back, then delete it.

Deleting your account

Email support@yardmargin.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll remove your account, business, jobs, and customer data. If you want a copy of your data first, ask in the same email and we'll send it before deleting.
